Chapter 1
My Early Days of Life
I was born on the streets of Allen town in the province of Northern Samar al- most seventy dog years ago. The year was November 2013, with heavy rain and winds that day. I had many siblings in the rest days. But some of them died, and some they killed for no reason.
I do not even know what my siblings look like because I was born blind. It was terrifying because you did not understand what was happening around you. Slowly, I could open my eyes, and I started looking around my home.
The surroundings were terrible, with traffic, pollution, and noise. I was so scared of the natural world that I stayed close to my mom’s warm body. My mother was very skinny, and I knew she couldn’t take it with all my siblings for a very long time.
We had eight siblings, and we did not have a father. My father had many children all around the town, and he was very aggressive, my mother told me. He was born in Australia and was a beautiful dog in the Town. All female dogs followed him, and the males were under his Command. He had told my mother he was a Kelpie sheepdog and had immigrated to the Philippines when the road from Allen to Cat Arman was made with the Australian government’s donation.
